after searching eight different stores spanning five cities including San Francisco and trying on about 50 dresses (beaded, lacy, frilly, sheath, mermaid, ball gown) I found myself at Trudys brides in Campbell Ca. I decided instead of trying on what I had been trying on I decided to pick 5 completely dresses that I didn't think I would ever choose and try them on. as I slipped the Kendall over my head I was shocked that not only did it fit perfectly, it was also one third of my dress budget. I bought my dress that day on March 3rd 2014. I wore it on September 4th 2014.I loved every little detail about it. From the inner corset to the boning in the bust. this meant no belly bulge when you sit down and no bra necessary. The ruching was also very flattering. The dress hugges my hips and back side but also flared out just below the hips to give me that Cinderella feeling, without feeling like I was drowning in a ball own. the dress is described as a relaxed mermaid, but I did not feel like it was a mermaid at all, more like a fit and flare. The soft shimmer satin was a relief after trying on rough beaded gowns that scraped my arms and caught on everything. The shimmer of the satin along with the Swarovoski crystals that embellished the beautiful bows on the back and where the dress gathered on the side, was the perfect amount of sparkle for me. The dress did not feel too heavy or too hot. Its simple elegance allows it to be worn in either a ballroom type wedding or a country club type setting. If you want your groom in tears as you walk down the isle (as mine was) this is the dress for you. I wanted to post pictures of me in it at my wedding but the file size was to large. I encourage you to look this dress up on Maggies site to see the beautiful details. The color is Alabaster (which was the same color as my husbands Ivory suit). I wore a Single layer fingertip length veil as to not hide the beautiful bows and crystals. (If I can figure out how to add more pictures, I will.)
